Protect Your invention

Technology Transfer process
The technology transfer process is comprised of a series of steps to evaluate Alexandria University inventions and, where appropriate, move them to the marketplace. Technology Transfer is the gateway to commercialization.
The key steps in the technology transfer process are:

  • Invention Disclosure
  • Intellectual Property Protection
  • Marketing
  • Licensing
  • Revenue Sharing
This process can take 3 - 7 years, sometimes longer in the case of heavily regulated products.
Disclosure
Disclosure is the first step of the Technology Transfer process and requires that you should submit your invention
After Disclosure
Once an invention is received by TTICO, it is assigned to a Technology Licensing Officer, who works with the inventor, recommends an Intellectual Property (IP) protection strategy and assesses the commercial value of the invention.
